GENERAL INFORMATION

Favourite event: 200m Freestyle, when it is going well.

Finest ever performance/Why: Can I have two? My gold medal performance at the Commonwealth Games in 2006, in Melbourne, I won the 100m Freestyle.

Also I hold the NCAA 200yard Freestyle record (1.31.20 – 2006), the fastest man ever in a short course yard pool. American universities compete in short course yards rather than short course metres.

First senior international meet: Commonwealth Games in Manchester 2002. I swam Backstroke.

Role models: None really

My aspirations are: To win an Olympic gold

Tip for the top: Work hard in the right places, and enjoy yourself.

Life after swimming: No plans as yet.

Music: Not a big music fan really, I prefer watching TV. I am quite keen on shows such as House, Law & Order and Friends.

If I wasn’t a swimmer I would be a: I play a lot of pool, so maybe a pool or snooker player.

Football, Cricket or Rugby: Rugby of those three. Although being in the US, I prefer American Football.

Describe yourself in three words: Focused / Charismatic / Friendly

Would most like to meet: Muhammad Ali

Most prized possession: My laptop.

Biggest influence on career: Bob Pay, my first coach.
