Favourite event: 200m Breaststroke. I prefer the longer distance.
Finest ever performance/Why: My swim in the heats of the 200m Breaststroke at the Olympic Trials. I had to make the qualifying time in order to stand a chance of qualifying for Beijing. I had torn an abductor muscle and not actually swum breaststroke for the previous three weeks.
First senior international meet: European Short Course Championships in 2005
My aspirations are: To win Olympic gold. Either 2008 or 2012!
Tip for the top: Persistence, just keep at it
Life after swimming: Think I will cross that bridge when I come to it.
Music: Listen to anything, nothing specific.
If I wasn’t a swimmer I would be a: I would be involved in another sport. Not sure which.
Football, Cricket or Rugby: Rugby, it’s a real man’s sport.

Would most like to meet: Muhammad Ali. He achieved so much and changed the face of his sport.
