GENERAL INFORMATION:

Favourite event: 50m Free.

Finest ever performance/Why: Breaking the 100m Free World record in the Paralympic trials in April. It was something I’d been trying to do for a long time and I finally did!

First senior international meet: Swimming for Wales in a National Gala in 1994.

Role models: Haile Gabre-Selassie, for always smiling no matter what.

My aspirations are: To keep doing my best.

Tip for the top: Enjoy what you do and never force it.

Life after swimming: Sleeping on a beach! Hopefully stay involved in swimming and put something back into the sport I’ve got so much from.

Music: Anything.

If I wasn’t a swimmer/diver I would be: Playing rugby for Wales.

Describe yourself in three words: Large, loud and friendly.

Would most like to meet: Nelson Mandela

Most prized possession: My first Paralympic gold medal.

Biggest influence on career: My dad, for always getting up really early and taking me training.

Sporting relations: No.
