The world’s greatest multi-sport event, The Olympic Games, is soon to be upon us once again as their Games return to their spiritual home in Athens. So how can you ensure your place at this unique event, and watch your favourite athletes live in action?

The British Olympic Association’s official ticket and tour operator for the Olympic Games in Athens is Oxfordshire based travel specialists, Sportsworld Travel. For Sportsworld this will be their 11th Olympic Games organising travel arrangements for spectators.

As well as being responsible for all the logistics of moving ‘Team GB’ – athletes, officials, back up staff and all, Sportsworld also offer a range of travel services to spectators wanting to go to the Games. These range from event tickets only, through to fully staffed inclusive packages.

Ticket prices start from as little as £8.40 (including handling fee), and packages from £1595 per person for an independent traveller, three-night tour. Fully inclusive packages with pre-selected tickets start from £2775 per person. This would include flights, accommodation for three nights, all transfers to/from hotel/airport and events, full staffing, and event tickets for four Olympic events.

Sportsworld have pre- purchased a significant allocation of tickets, hotels rooms and flights for the British supporter market, and to date have been able to confirm the majority of first choice requirements for clients, however as the Games get closer availability will become limited, and people are advised to contact the company with their requirements as soon as possible.
