GENERAL INFORMATION

First sporting success:
Training with the 1987 squad early in my GB career

Finest sporting moment: Being part of the Harrogate side that won Division 2 (2204-2005) and being selected for the GB squad for the first time

Tip for the top: Always give 110% effort and you will go far! And keep your head out the water so you don't get a kick in the face!

First GB selection year: 2003

Sporting heroes: Colin Jackson and Kelly Holmes

Other sporting successes: Played netball for my school and for my town. I also entered several athletic

Favourite sport other than water polo: Netball, ice hockey, basketball and football

Three words that best describe you: I'd like to think my self as intelligent, however the dizzy blonde does take over however I feel I am kind, generous and determined

Would most like to meet: Colin Jackson

Most prized possession: My contact lenses

Biggest influence on career: My friends

Any other family connections to sport: My step-dad was a successful motor bike racer

Toughest opponent: Dutch girls are particularly aggressive and highly skilled

Any pets: One cat, Ziggy. About 20 fish in our pond, one is called Yeti, loads of spiders around the house and garden!

Biggest passion away from water polo: Photography and shopping!

Biggest disappointment: Finding out the tooth fairy was really my mum, and getting injured last year

Favourite venue and why: Sheffield or Manchester because the waster is nice and cool so u doesn’t get so hot when playing and easier to bounce the ball with not so many waves!

Tips to relax: Awesome music

Education: Second year of A levels

Family: Mum (Jane), Step dad (John), Sister (Sarah, 20)

Ultimate ambition: Having a shot at the 2012 Olympic team

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: Playing top water polo either against or for European countries
