British Swimming Judicial Decisions

Attention is drawn to section 24.1 of the British Swimming Disciplinary Code (June 2007) whereby the decisions published here may be the subject of an appeal if filed within 28 days of the decision being notified to the parties.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ British Swimming v Mr C Figes

1. Figes is to be suspended from playing water polo at all levels for the period of six months;
2. This period of suspension is to be suspended for a period of eighteen months from 1 July 2008;
3. In the event that a Complaint is received within that period of eighteen months, and established, the suspension mentioned in 1 above shall come in to effect together with any additional sanction that might be imposed;
4. If the sanction in 1 above does become effective Mr Figes is to be allowed to train;

British Swimming v Mr P Csorgo

1.   Mr Csorgo is to be suspended from playing water polo at all levels for the period from midnight 31 May 2008 to midnight 31 August 2008;
2. During his period of suspension he is to be allowed to continue training;
3. He is to pay the sum of £250 towards the costs of the Tribunal. Such cost to be paid to British Swimming by midnight 31 May 2008;
 4.  In the event that this sum is not paid by that date the suspension will be extended by the amount of the additional time taken to pay.

In accordance with paragraph 4 of the decision the period of suspension in paragraph 1 is extended until midnight on the 4th September 2008.
