Plymouth ahoy! National Speedo League finals

They’ve been the bridesmaid twice, and on one occasion even the bride at a subsidiary ceremony, but after finishing as runners-up in the National Speedo League Cup final in 2005 and 2007 and winning the B final in 2006, Plymouth Leander finally made it to the altar. And they did it in style, recovering from a slow start to build a 35-point lead over runners-up Millfield – a repeat of the Western League final in December and a reversal of the national result from 2005, when Millfield took the trophy to the West Country for the first time.
